Tee Off Together

A non-profit golf program

Tee Off Together (TOT) is a non-profit program (tax ID 81-1277231) designed to introduce the game of golf to the middle and high schools within the inner city school districts of Los Angeles and Long Beach. This program creates exposure to golf by offering a weekly 8-level PGA instructional program that includes STEM and life skills. This golf program is designed to:

  1. Prepare boys and girls for the high school golf team
  2. Prepare boys and girls for competitive golf tournaments
    • A nationwide summer PGA junior league 13 & under (2-4 teams)
    • Los Angeles County Junior golf tournaments
    • Southern California PGA Junior Golf tournaments
    • Participate in the nationwide Drive, Chip & Putt competition

This golf program will continue to work with the graduates of the TOT program through high school and into college with weekly private and group PGA instruction. The graduates will become mentors to the TOT middle school students. The program is designed to train the graduates to gain employment at golf courses in the golf shop, outside service, the caddie program, outside maintenance, food and beverage, merchandise, club-fitting & instruction.

This golf program hopes to accomplish within each child:

    • exposure to golf
    • compete in summer golf tournaments
    • heighten self esteem
    • improve school participation and grades
    • create a sense of pride and leadership –
    • focus on school and golf improvement
    • build social skills through team competition & tournaments
    • college golf & academic scholarships
    • play high school varsity golf
    • improve home life, stay out of gang activity

The TOT program will provide through donations:

  1. Weekly PGA instructional 8-level program that includes STEM & life skills
  2. Yearly clinics to introduce the game of golf
  3. Private & group instruction for the high school golf team
  4. Golf clubs and equipment, golf balls, gloves, shirts, and hats for each member of the TOT program
  5. Transportation provided for golf tournaments home and away
  6. Tournament expenses, entry fees, memberships, food, and clothing
We conduct two free golf clinics throughout the year introducing the game of golf to 7th and 8th graders at Middle Schools. The TOT program selects kids based on attitude, enthusiasm, talent, skill level, and the other criteria. These boys and girls will enter into the TOT weekly golf program and begin their journey to becoming a competitive junior golfer. Our 8-level program takes five months to complete. We build teams of 12 kids 13 & under to compete in the nationwide PGA junior summer league. A select few will join and compete in the LA County Junior Golf tournament program and the Southern California PGA Junior Golf tournament schedule. The TOT program will continue to work hard through the summer grooming these kids for success as they transition into high school golf. PGA professionals will continue to mentor and coach these kids while competing on their high school golf team. Our long range goal is to see these boys & girls continue on to play NCAA college golf.

Our program also includes children within foster care, juvenile hall, and kids with special needs . We are an inclusive golf and STEM program, able to accommodate any and all needs. If a child can hold a golf club, we can teach him/her this great game of golf.
TOT Business Plan is available upon request.
